My brain is tired

After an impromptu decision to make Italian Sausage over lentils and rice for dinner tonight (since I got all the components for free AND scored a Publix Penny Item as a result), I was so proud that my entire family ate ALL the components, even my pickiest of preschoolers!

After she asked to be excused, we heard Kariss’ tummy rumble. She smiled a coy smile and whispered to me, “Do you know why my tummy’s rumbly?”
I couldn’t possibly imagine what reason she’d come up with…

“Because my brain is tired”

Naturally…3 hours of kindergarten will do that to a 5 year old 🙂
